Whilst a Personal Assistant can drive your loved one to appointments and cook a meal, they may not always have the more specific skills required to provide professional, compassionate care. All our person-centred care plans are tailored to meet the needs of the client, with every aspect of their wellbeing covered. We take a holistic approach to our care, supporting them both physically and emotionally.
As a professional home care provider, we understand that personal care should be delivered in an individualised, non-rushed setting. That’s why all our carers have completed the Bridgewater Home Care induction programme, as well as an intensive training course in social care. We go to great lengths to ensure we match our carers and our clients together and uphold the highest ideals of dignity and respect for people’s privacy.
When you hire a P.A. to take care of a loved one, you will need to consider holidays, and what to do if your personal assistant is unwell. Although wherever possible Bridgewater Home Care provides continuity of care, we can provide our services 365 days per year, if your carer is unwell and unable to attend, we will always send another trusted carer out to you that day. You can rest assured that your loved one will always be provided with a carer suitable to their needs.
We are proud to have an award-winning training manager on board who recently won The NW Great British Care Awards ‘Care Trainer of the Year Award’. Maxine has a great understanding of the training needs of our team and ensures that high standards of care are delivered at all times.
Our specialism is in dementia care and we offer our carers unparalleled training and guidance to understand the nuances of supporting people living with a dementia. We ensure that our team are equipped with the latest Alzheimer’s education and home care techniques, so that you have peace of mind that your loved one is cared for by a competent, trusted, and kind professional.
Our carers are well trained in assisting with or monitoring medication, safe and dignified bathing techniques and help with continence care. They understand the support needed at meal times, and can assist with eating as well as preparing nutritious meals. If your loved one has been ill, you can rest assured that our carers understand the importance of convalescence care, and are used to working as part of a multidisciplinary team (including doctors, district nurses, and other health and social care professionals) to provide coordinated home support when needed.
Bridgewater Home Care provide a specialised and tailored service, which has benefits that may not be offered by a personal assistant. If you would like to know more about the services that we provide, please contact a member of our team on 01942 215 888 or email info@bridgewaterhomecare.co.uk.
