Care after Covid

November 22, 2021

As things are slowly but surely going back to normal, we caught up with some of our Bridgewater team to find out what they are most looking forward to, post-pandemic…

“The safety of our clients remains our top priority, and we are still providing essential care safely. But I have noticed a positive difference in team morale now that things are getting back to normal and it’s great to see more of our colleagues again inside and outside of the office.”

“I’m most looking forward to getting involved in events and socials again”

“There has definitely been an increase in focus on the Wellbeing of everyone in the Bridgewater Family.”

During what continues to be a very uncertain time for most across the country, we can safely say that one thing is for sure – homecare has been, and always will be, a service much needed and valued by those in our local communities.

The pandemic has shown us just how important the service we deliver is to the lives of others, and it has felt such a privilege knowing that we were able to support (and continue to support) so many people over the past 18 months who otherwise may not have received the care they need.
We were able to help those living on their own to feel less isolated, keeping them company when they were unable to see their much-loved family members for weeks or months at a time, during lockdowns and self-isolation.

Our aim now that national COVID19 restrictions have lifted is to continue providing an exceptional service to clients, as well as help provide more vulnerable adults living at home with the care they need.

As such, we are looking to grow our team of Care Specialists (Care Workers) so that we are able to provide our services to more and more people in our local areas.

As families return to work and children return to school, those with care-giving roles may not have as much time as before to look after their elderly or vulnerable relatives. At Bridgewater Home Care we understand that family life is busy, and, as many are returning to their pre-pandemic routines, we continue to be there to support those living in their own homes with companionship and specialist care.

We also understand how important a good work-life balance is, and that the people who join the Bridgewater Home Care team may need extra support or more flexible working patterns.
All our team are well supported to help them find a working schedule that suits their home life, all whilst ensuring our clients receive the care they need, when they need it. We pride ourselves in being a high-quality provider of reliable care, delivered by professional Care Specialists that our clients trust.

We look for naturally caring individuals, with similar values to us at Bridgewater Home Care. Prior experience of care is by no means essential – we have excellent training to get you started with your career in care, as well as ongoing training to support you wherever you need it.
Whether you have previously worked in hospitality, childcare, retail or something different; so many of the skills you will have developed through these roles are transferrable to give you a great start as a Bridgewater Care Specialist.

One thing we have so very much missed at Bridgewater Home Care is regularly seeing all our lovely colleagues and the copious amounts of tea and coffee we missed out on when catching up with one another!

During the pandemic it was our number one priority to keep our clients and staff safe, and as such it became impossible to see our colleagues as much as we’d like to.
Although we were still very much prioritising the safety of our clients when it came to delivering the essential care our communities, it just wasn’t quite the same not being able to stick around to have a natter over lunch or after a busy day.

As restrictions lifted, we were so glad to get back to ‘normal’ with team catch ups, lunches and events that have been very missed over the past 18 months. As a Bridgewater Care Specialist, you will be joining a great support network of colleagues and will have access to meeting new people, making new relationships and joining in plenty of Bridgewater socials.

Some of our team said the below….

“Bridgewater are an amazing company to work for. The level of support is unprecedented, and any additional training is offered. It’s like working for a family.” – Kirsty

“Bridgewater home care is an excellent place to work, office personnel are always at the end of the phone and a friendly chat. I work alongside some of the best care staff there is. Who go above and beyond for client’s and family.” – Kim

“Working for Bridgewater has been amazing. I have truly found my job for life. Knowing that I can make that difference in someone else’s life is just so worthwhile. To give my love, care and time to someone is priceless. Thank you, Bridgewater, for giving me the chance and having me as part of your team” – Angela
