Bridgewater Annual Carer's Awards Party 2021

On Friday 26th November, we held our much-awaited Bridgewater Carer’s Awards and Christmas party for our Care Staff from all our Bridgewater Home Care office locations and Bridgewater Day Care in Golborne.

Last year due to Covid 19 we were unable to hold a face-to-face party but instead hosted our usual annual Carer’s Awards ceremony online and carried out virtual awards. Although everyone had great fun on the Teams Party, we were so thrilled that we were able to host our usual event.

Our Managing Director, Phil Eckersley opened the awards evening and commented,

“This event is not just a celebration for Christmas and the end of the year, it is also a celebration of everything that our Care Specialists do on a day-to-day basis for our clients, for Bridgewater Home Care and for our team – everything they do truly is valued and deserves special recognition.”

The Awards Criteria

The awards criteria were as follows for each award:

Carer’s Carer

The nominees for this award were chosen collectively by the team. We had a list of nominees provided by each Bridgewater office location. The Carer’s Carer is someone who truly represents everything that Bridgewater Home Care values, is a joy to work with and is special to both clients and colleagues alike.

Newcomers

Those who have recently joined Bridgewater Home Care but have gone above and beyond for clients and colleagues from the outset. They have also progressed within their role since joining the Bridgewater Family and have made huge contributions to the team already.

Above and Beyond

The small things matter for these Care Specialists and they provide reassurance to both clients and colleagues. Always a joy to work with and shows real commitment to the whole Bridgewater Family. Nothing is ever too much for these Care Specialists and their dedication is truly recognised.

The Overall Carer ‘The Christine Taylor’ Award

This award is for the overall Carer of the Year from the whole Bridgewater Home Care and Day Care team. This award is dedicated to a former member of the Bridgewater Family, the late Christine Taylor. Christine came to work for us in 2019 and was a truly cherished and valued member of the team. Christine was the epitome of going above and beyond for the people she cared for.

The Prize

Each winner received a Bridgewater Home Care Awards Trophy, award certificate and a bottle of fizz as well as, of course, recognition for their amazing achievement.

Special Recognition Award ‘Overall Carer of the Year’

This special award was presented to Edina Kasa (Warrington Office).

Congratulations again to all our very worthy winners and a big thank you to all our staff for the incredible work they do every day. As we continue to provide invaluable services to the people we serve from the comfort of their homes, it has been so important to show our appreciation to those who deliver the care and support on a daily basis.
