We are delighted to introduce our newest member of the team at Bridgewater Home Care Warrington – Care Administrator, Erica Mapait!
Erica joined us in September as our new Care Administrator to support our growing care team in Warrington.
We are thrilled that she chose to begin her new role with us at Bridgewater Home Care and look forward to working with her, continuing to deliver the high quality, companionship-focussed care that Bridgewater Home Care is known for.
Originally from the Philippines, Erica and her family moved to the UK when she was just 7 years old where they resided in a small town called Horsham, before moving to the North West.
Erica has worked in the care industry for many years, specialising in different sectors such as adult learning disabilities, dementia care, rehabilitation and mental health care.
We asked Erica a few questions so you can get to know her better! Here is what she said:
Erica, please tell us a bit about yourself!
“I would describe myself as an adventurous and caring person. I love to travel, meet new people and trying different types of food from different cultures.”
What inspired you to join the care sector?
“I joined the care sector because my mum is a nurse; I grew up watching my mum care for those that need help and I saw how it made a difference to someone’s quality of life. I was inspired by this, and I just knew from then I wanted to work in the care sector.”
What do you like to do to relax in your spare time, any hobbies or interests?
“I enjoy listening to music, watching Netflix and cooking. If work and time availability allow, I take the opportunity to travel.”
What are you most look forward to about working at Bridgewater Home Care?
“Progressing my career.”
What is one thing you would put on your bucket list?
“Bungee Jumping”
What is your favourite genre of film?
“Action/comedy”
What is your favourite season of the year and why?
Winter, because of Santa!
Who is your ideal dinner party guest and why?
“In my imaginary world it will be Drake, because he’s talented, rich and always releases banging music but don’t tell my partner!”
One fact about you that your colleagues may not know
“I’m scared of Cats”
