2) Carer Centric Approach
Bridgewater Home Care has always believed in providing a supportive work environment for its employees, as well as quality care for its clients. Carers receive above average rates of pay, training and a supportive work environment. Each year we host an annual awards dinner with a disco and Christmas party for the children of staff along with regular socials at each location. Employees of the month are also awarded at each local office every month.
As we are a home care agency, employees are required to travel between client visits, and this can eat into a significant portion of their working day at times. We don’t feel it is fair for members of the team to lose out financially because of this and therefore, we pay all of our staff for travel time between client visits as well as mileage to compensate for travel expenses such as fuel.
All employees are given a minimum of 28 days holiday pay each year and are encouraged to take time off when needed. Franchise partners benefit from less recruitment and training costs, and clients benefit from a higher quality of care.
3) One to One Support
Bridgewater Home Care’s franchise partners will benefit from one-to-one support with an experienced team of marketing, compliance, business development, recruitment and finance specialists. We have a full-time award-winning Training Manager who will deliver a Resilience Training course to Managers; essential for the well-being of staff and managing stress. We have developed a whole floor area dedicated to training and invested in an online portal for staff to complete the Care Certificate offering carers a more flexible approach to learning. We have a Brand Compliance Manager who will be on hand to guide and support Managers at each location and new Franchise owners. We also employ Quality & Compliance Assistants across all offices to make sure we keep in line with Care Quality Commission regulations and exceed Bridgewater standards. All Franchisees will have a voice and help shape the future of the Group.

6) Bespoke Training
Bridgewater Home Care will tailor training to each franchise partner’s individual needs during their pre-launch activity and early days of operation. Franchise partners will work closely with the Franchise Support Team and having proven management and work practices means a far smoother launch experience, especially when you have a brand-new team in place. Bridgewater Home Care want to make it as easy as possible for our new franchisees to set up their business.

Bridgewater Home Care takes pride in being able to give back to the communities that we serve, by providing a high-quality care to the elderly, as well as providing careers for people looking to work within the home care sector. We recently held a sponsored” sleep out” for The Brick in Wigan, this is a charity that helps the homeless and families in crisis offering help as well as providing food banks across the Wigan Borough. Over £600 was raised from this event. The team have hosted “Bridgewater bake-off”. Members of the office staff have taken turns to prepare and cook meals for the rest of the team. So far, meals have ranged from 3-course in-office dining experiences to a take-away from the local fish and chip shop. This activity has also been used to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Research.
