  1. Award winning Formula

We have benefited from high client satisfaction, referrals from partner professionals and a very low employee turnover, with a current number of 120 employees. Bridgewater Home Care has  won a number of prestigious awards, which include: The Smith & Henderson Best Employer in Care 2017; North West E3 Business Awards 2017– Best Employer, High Growth Business of the Year, Special Achievement award ; Employer of the Year and Entrepreneur of the Year at the Greater Manchester Business Awards 2019 and most recently The Dignity in Care Award and Trainer of the Year Award at the North West GB Care Awards 2019 .

These awards demonstrate the strength of Bridgewater Home Care’s expertise, and the support and training we can offer franchise partners to launch and develop their business.

2) Carer Centric Approach

Bridgewater Home Care has always believed in providing a supportive work environment for its employees, as well as quality care for its clients. Carers receive above average rates of pay, training and a supportive work environment. Each year we host an annual awards dinner with a disco and Christmas party for the children of staff along with regular socials at each location. Employees of the month are also awarded at each local office every month.

As we are a home care agency, employees are required to travel between client visits, and this can eat into a significant portion of their working day at times. We don’t feel it is fair for members of the team to lose out financially because of this and therefore, we pay all of our staff for travel time between client visits as well as mileage to compensate for travel expenses such as fuel.

All employees are given a minimum of 28 days holiday pay each year and are encouraged to take time off when needed. Franchise partners benefit from less recruitment and training costs, and clients benefit from a higher quality of care.

3) One to One Support

Bridgewater Home Care’s franchise partners will benefit from one-to-one support with an experienced team of marketing, compliance, business development, recruitment and finance specialists. We have a full-time award-winning Training Manager who will deliver a Resilience Training course to Managers; essential for the well-being of staff and managing stress. We have developed a whole floor area dedicated to training and invested in an online portal for staff to complete the Care Certificate offering carers a more flexible approach to learning. We have a Brand Compliance Manager who will be on hand to guide and support Managers at each location and new Franchise owners. We also employ Quality & Compliance Assistants across all offices to make sure we keep in line with Care Quality Commission regulations and exceed Bridgewater standards. All Franchisees will have a voice and help shape the future of the Group.

4) Family values and specialist knowledge

Bridgewater Home Care knows exactly what it takes for a home care business to meet and exceed industry standards as we have a specialist knowledge base of over 50 years’ experience. Franchising removes the element of guesswork or ‘trial and error’ that can frustrate the early stages of a business. We are looking for motivated people who share our family values, are passionate about business and have a strong desire to make a difference in the local community by providing the highest quality of care and support to vulnerable adults in their own homes.

5) Superior Care Management Software system

Bridgewater Homecare embrace the use of technology wherever we can to improve the experience of our client’s and ensure our team are well supported to facilitate the delivery of excellent quality care. We want to be outstanding in Technology in the 2020s and you can benefit from our knowledge in this area. Investments to date include:

6) Bespoke Training

Bridgewater Home Care will tailor training to each franchise partner’s individual needs during their pre-launch activity and early days of operation. Franchise partners will work closely with the Franchise Support Team and having proven management and work practices means a far smoother launch experience, especially when you have a brand-new team in place. Bridgewater Home Care want to make it as easy as possible for our new franchisees to set up their business.

7) Be your own boss

As a franchise partner, you have the flexibility to manage a rewarding work/life balance and you have complete financial independence – all with the backing of a proven model and support team.

8) In demand growing home care marketplace

Forecasting from the Personal Social Services Research Unit (PSSRU) highlights the rate at which the number of older people will grow over the next two decades: Both customers, healthcare providers and other government bodies show a growing preference for care that allows people to remain within their own homes, and with a growing ageing population, the demand for these services is only set to increase further. People are living longer with multiple or complex needs and therefore might require short or long-term social care .With approximately 75% of the UK’s adult social care services privately purchased and similar levels of care delivered specifically to over 65s, Bridgewater Home Care franchise partners benefit from a business model that is focused on servicing this in-demand and growing marketplace.

9) A Lifestyle that you love

As a Bridgewater Home Care franchise partner, you will benefit from a business that suits you, working within your chosen area, meaning you can say goodbye to lengthy commutes and help support your local community. With territories available throughout the UK, opportunities near you are available today.

10) Make a difference in your community

You can make a difference in your local community. Bridgewater Home Care takes pride in being able to give back to the communities that we serve, by providing a high-quality care to the elderly, as well as providing careers for people looking to work within the home care sector. We recently held a sponsored” sleep out” for The Brick in Wigan, this is a charity that helps the homeless and families in crisis offering help as well as providing food banks across the Wigan Borough. Over £600 was raised from this event. The team have hosted “Bridgewater bake-off”. Members of the office staff have taken turns to prepare and cook meals for the rest of the team. So far, meals have ranged from 3-course in-office dining experiences to a take-away from the local fish and chip shop. This activity has also been used to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Research.
