We are absolutely thrilled to announce that Bridgewater Home Care Bolton’s Katieleigh Gildea has been shortlisted as a finalist for The Home Care Coordinator Award at The Great British Care Awards 2020!
The Great British Care Awards are a series of regional events throughout the UK and are a celebration of excellence across the care sector. The purpose of the awards is to pay tribute to those individuals who have demonstrated outstanding excellence within their field of work.
Katieleigh always goes above and beyond but when advised of the award she told us:
“I am delighted to receive this wonderful nomination. However, congratulations are due to each and every one of the care specialists that I work with. I have the best job ever as we work as a family at Bridgewater Home Care and the home care team are all fabulous and are the reason that I received this nomination! It is a real tribute to the hard work and commitment of the whole Bolton home care team not just me ! “
Well done Katieleigh, we are so proud of you and it is a huge testament to a home care team that is truly dedicated in serving the highest levels of home care to the local Bolton community.
This Great British Care Award will be given to the Home Care Coordinator who can demonstrate to the judges their knowledge and skill in utilising their care team in an effective and efficient way. This person will demonstrate vision in motivating and supporting staff whilst ensuring the clients remains at the heart of the service. So they need to :
- Show why it is important to offer the clients continuity of care
- Demonstrate that the way they coordinate is also cost effective for the company
- Demonstrate how they offer staff that are trained to meet the individual needs of a vulnerable person
- Show how they support lone workers
- Show how they keep up with technology, and the requirements of the regulators.
