We are absolutely delighted that Bridgewater Home Care Wigan’s Care Manager, Shaneil Gaskell will be a finalist at the Great British Care Awards 2020, in the North West region.
Shaneil has been shortlisted for the prestigious Registered Home Care Manager Award.
The Bridgewater family are so proud of Shaneil and it is a real tribute to the hard work and commitment she puts in every day and for being truly dedicated in serving the highest levels of home care to the local Wigan community.
The Great British Care Awards are a series of regional events throughout the UK and are a celebration of excellence across the care sector. The purpose of the awards is to pay tribute to those individuals who have demonstrated outstanding excellence within their field of work.
This Great British Care Award will be given to the Registered Home Care Manager who has demonstrated a high level of expertise together with exceptional skills in managing the complex business of running a home care business. A Manager who shows vision in developing person centred care and supporting staff to meet the ever-changing needs of the service users.
When advised of the news, Shaneil told us
“I can honestly say I am blown away by this nomination, never mind getting through! This is my first position as a Registered Care Manager, which I have held for less than a year. This year has been the toughest year in my career, having to lead my team through the Covid-19 pandemic but I am so lucky to have the support of both my family and all my Bridgewater family. I would like to take the opportunity to say a huge thank you to everyone who has supported me along the way, and I am really looking forward to the finals! Keep your fingers crossed for me!”
Colleagues praised Shaneil’s commitment to ensuring her care team and clients were at the heart of everything she does. Sally Kelly, the Registered & Brand Compliance Manager at Bridgewater Home Care told us

The Judging day will take place on 24th November and will be done virtually this year due to the pandemic.
