Eleanor Lomax did not have a background in home care before she joined the Bridgewater family as a Care Specialist in 2020.
That’s because it is not necessary to have prior experience in the health or social care sectors; we are mainly looking for a passion for making a difference in the lives of others! Many of our Bridgewater Home Care employees draw on past experiences, skills, or knowledge that they have gained from previous roles and use these to encourage, assist and support our clients to help improve their quality of life.
Eleanor kindly answered some quick-fire questions to help us get to know her better and to find out what inspired her to work in care :

” Comedy & Romance .”
2. Who is your ideal dinner party guest and why?
” My husband , because he makes me laugh ! ”
3. What is your favourite season of the year and why?
” Spring – as the weather is getting better . “
4. What is one thing you would put on your bucket list?
” I want to see the Northern Lights.”
5. When you’re not working how do you like to spend your time?
“Swimming and having meals with my family.”
6. What is your professional background?
“I trained as a nursery nurse before working in home care . “
7. What inspired you to join the care sector?
“My father-in-law. “
8. What is one thing you enjoy most about your role?
“Making a difference in people’s lives .”
9. One other fact about you that your colleagues may not know?
“I am qualified in British Sign Language.”
