Professional Care Workers’ Week – 12th-16th September 2022

We are proud to be taking part in Professional Care Workers’ Week between the 12th and 16th of September 2022, organised by The Care Workers’ Charity.⠀

Over the last five years, Professional Care Workers’ Week has been a fantastic focal point for people across the social care sector to come together and discuss the key challenges faced. This year, we are helping to shine a light on those challenges, joining in with discussions on some of the issues faced by care workers, as well as by the sector as a whole.⠀

Our professional care workers deserve recognition for their continuous commitment to providing outstanding care & support to our clients, and for making a difference in individuals’ lives every day.

Our team do such an incredible job, we just can’t thank them enough. But we think these words help show our appreciation…

Thank you doesn’t seem enough,

To someone who does so much,

You make our client’s days brighter

And their burdens feel lighter,

When counting blessings, we must start

With grateful praise for our Care Specialist’s Hearts.

On Friday 16th September at Bridgewater Home Care Bolton’s office, we had such a lovely time and wanted to show our appreciation for all our amazing Care team by hosting a drop-in with drinks, cakes, pamper goodies and lots of THANK YOUs to celebrate Professional Care Workers’ Week together.

Our Registered Manager Claire said,

“I want to say a huge thank you to all my team, in recognition of their constant dedication, and commitment to high-quality care. My team do such an incredible job and they are a true credit to the Professional social care sector.”

We support our care workers and celebrate them all this week (and every other week too!)

Collaboration is at the heart of #pcww22, which provides a platform for people to share best practices, and the charity has a week of scheduled webinars, panels, and chats from some of the leading voices in the sector.

The schedule was packed with discussions about:

Care worker wellbeing.
Diversity.
Training.
Digital inclusion.
Retention.
Recruitment.
The cost-of-living crisis along with lots more.
