At Bridgewater Home Care we want to prevent social isolation and provide those living alone with a chance to reconnect with those in their local community.

Some adults living alone can go months without speaking to anyone.

It is heart-breaking to think that many older people will experience loneliness and isolation at some point in their life. We might not have as much time as we would wish to spend with our families, and we cannot be there to support them all the time.

The loss of a loved one, reduced mobility, or isolation from family who don’t live nearby can all be contributing factors to vulnerable adults experiencing loneliness.

Loneliness can become a cause of so many other detrimental factors to one’s health, including depression, sleep deprivation, hypertension and forms of stress and anxiety.

Sometimes the best comfort and support can be in the form of a friend to listen and to talk to. Our aim is to be that ‘someone’ you can trust and rely on whenever your loved one may need that emotional support or just someone to have a chat with.

Our companionship service enables those less mobile to receive the emotional support and company that they may not usually have access to.

For older and more vulnerable adults it can become increasingly difficult to leave the home unaccompanied and in turn this reduces the amount of contact they have with other people on a day-to-day basis.

For those living with a disability or recovering from surgery at home it can be frustrating that socialising isn’t as easy as it used to be.

We aim to create a unique, personalised service that is aimed at providing a friend, companion, and confidant that your loved one can trust and rely on. Whether it is just for a friendly chat every now and then, or regular socialisation, our Companionship Care Specialists can be that friend to listen and talk to.
