Why Care?

Rewarding

One of the most frequent answers we receive when asking our team why they love their job in care is how they can make a difference to the lives of others and how rewarding a job this can be. A career in care is completely people-focussed and is about building relationships and providing support to those who truly value it. At times it can be challenging, but with the right support, training and guidance, your role as a carer can be extremely rewarding.

Flexibility

A role in care can offer great flexibility around your own personal responsibilities, helping to make juggling work life and home life that bit easier. If you aren’t looking for a standard 9-5 job it can be a great career option for you, with flexible working patterns to fit around your own personal commitments such as childcare or further education.

Career Progression

Something that many people aren’t aware of with a career in care is how many amazing career progression opportunities there are! Starting as a carer you will be able to build relationships with both your team and the clients you care for, whilst working towards further qualifications to help with your personal and professional development. There are a number of progression roles that are all achievable for carers, such as Senior administrative support, all the way to Care Co-ordinators and Managerial positions.

Variety & Learn New Skills

One thing is for sure in the world of care; no 2 days will ever be the same! This is one of the greatest benefits of working in care – if you love variety in your role, becoming a Care Specialist can offer just that. You will constantly be introduced to new environments, new clients, and new experiences. Meeting new people is a key part of your role and there is never a dull moment.

What is a Care Specialist?

Sometimes referred to as a care worker, care assistant or carer, being a Care Specialist with Bridgewater Home Care is a varied and rewarding role, where you will become a specialist in your field with top quality training and development.
