Frontotemporal dementia (FTD) is one of the less common types of dementia. It is sometimes called Pick’s disease or frontal lobe dementia.\u00a0The first signs of FTD are often changes to personality, behaviours and difficulties with speech and language.<\/p>\n
Fronto-temporal dementia can occur when the front and side parts of the brain become damaged. As a result, clumps of irregular proteins form inside brain cells which cause them to die.<\/p>\n
